The European Parliament (EP) will advocate a postponement of Brexit if this prevents Brexit without a deal or is required to hold elections for the British Parliament, said the President of the European Parliament (EP) David Sassoli.

According to him, the EP is preparing a resolution on Brexit, a draft of which will be presented at a plenary session in Strasbourg, TASS reported.

The resolution will say that the European Parliament is open to a possible postponement if it helps to avoid an exit without an agreement or is needed for holding general elections in the UK, he said.
