The goal of the international bureau of aircraft accident investigation is to ensure that an independent expert body investigates aircraft accidents and various serious incidents, said Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Armen Simonyan at a meeting of the National Assembly of Armenia on Thursday.

According to him, these investigations will have to be carried out within the criteria established by the International Civil Aviation Organization. 

“Due to the lack of resources for investigating aircraft accidents and serious incidents in Armenia, it is advisable to transfer the implementation of this function to the body, which will be created in the future with the support of Russia within the Eurasian Economic Union,” Simonyan noted.
