YEREVAN. – In the days of last year’s change of power, renowned American Armenian musician Serj Tankian had promised to finally buy an apartment and spend more time in the Republic of Armenia (RA), Past (Fact) newspaper reported.

“According to information Past newspaper has received, it will be announced in the coming days, in all probability, with great fanfare that the singer has kept his promise and bought an apartment in Armenia—more specifically, in Vanadzor.

“But our sources assert that, in fact, it is hardly about ‘buying’ or acquiring. The thing is that his mother-in-law’s house, which is located in Vanadzor, is just being renamed after Serj Tankian.

“By the way, live on Facebook back in late August 2018, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had reminded Tankian about [his promise of] buying an apartment in Armenia.

‘“I’m not even mentioning that we were to discuss your chances of spending more time in Armenia,’ Nikol Pashinyan had [also] said,” Past wrote.
