YEREVAN. – The segment that receives a monthly salary of 150,000 to 2 million drams makes up the overwhelming majority, which is very good news. The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, on Friday noted this in a Facebook post.

“Today, the State Revenue Committee presented the adjusted number of employees registered since May 2018,” he wrote, in particular. “As a result of the last adjustment, we have more optimistic information. Accordingly, 65 thousand 37 jobs (growth: 12 percent) have emerged since May 2018 to date, instead of the 64 thousand 899 announced yesterday.

“The segment that receives a [monthly] salary of 150,000 to 2 million drams makes up the overwhelming majority, which is very good news.

“The average salary of the employees of this segment is about 400 thousand drams.

“Overall, during this time, the newly registered employees have paid more than 6 billion drams in income tax.”
