YEREVAN. – Artur Manukyan, the next MP candidate on the electoral list of the My Step bloc of Armenia, has assumed the duties of a deputy by taking the respective oath at Monday’s sitting of the National Assembly (NA).

As reported earlier, Edgar Arakelyan, a member of the majority My Step faction at the NA, has given up his parliamentary seat.

And according to election law, the next MP candidate on the electoral list of the My Step bloc shall assume the aforesaid vacant seat—and this candidate is Artur Manukyan.

Manukyan was a member of the My Step faction at the capital city Yerevan Council of Elders, he is a director by profession, and a member of the ruling Civil Contract party.
