From September 16 to 17, Minister of High Technological Industry of Armenia Hakob Arshakyan is participating in the 55th session of the Board of Communication Administration Heads of the Regional Communication Cooperation (RCC) and the 25th session of the Coordinating Council of CIS countries of the Regional Communication Cooperation for Localization in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan, as reported the press service of the Ministry of High Technological Industry of Armenia.

Hakob Arshakyan gave a speech during the 55th session of the Board of Communication Administration Heads.

Greeting the attendees, the minister touched upon the Armenian government’s priorities in and state policy on the digitization sector and particularly stated that the development of digitization will provide countries of the region with the opportunity to subject all spheres of society and economy to radical changes.

“Armenia is actively collaborating with member states of the Eurasian Economic Union to ensure high standards of decision-making and program implementation within the scope of the digital agenda,” the minister noted.

Hakob Arshakyan emphasized that Armenia is currently implementing large-scale infrastructure projects with countries in the Middle East and that digitization of the economy implies the introduction of new standards, the creation of eco-systems and the development and implementation of a development strategy.

The minister also expressed willingness to work actively with all countries of the region, contribute to the development of joint programs and support the efforts aimed at advancing regional initiatives at the international level.

Several issues of regional importance were discussed during the session.
