YEREVAN. – Within the framework of his official trip to Lithuania, Armenia’s Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan on Monday visited the Ministry of Economy and Innovation of Lithuania.

At the ministry, Vice-Minister Gintaras Vilda and some other sector officials presented to him Lithuania’s achievements in high technology, e-government, innovation, and financial technologies, as well as their track-record in “exporting” them to other countries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. 

Minister Mnatsakanyan, in turn, presented Armenia’s accomplishments in IT, IT solutions, innovation, and creative education, and stressed that the development of high technology- and innovation-based economy is a priority of the Armenian government.

Also, the Armenian FM and the Lithuanian Minister of Economy and Innovation emphasized that the two countries are united by the same vision for the future, and which opens prospects for the enrichment of cooperation and of the bilateral agenda. In this regard, they underscored the importance of forming platforms for the direct stakeholders to meet in order to exchange knowhow and launch joint projects in these domains.
