Revolutions are made with the promise to reject and punish former officials and retrieve that which was stolen. In this case, people come out to the street and demand that the winner fulfills his or her promise after the victory of the revolution. This is what leader of Republic Party Aram Sargsyan wrote on his Facebook page. He particularly stated the following:
“What happened in Armenia is not an exception, and the incumbent authorities are trying to do their best to fulfill their promises, that is, punish the former officials and retrieve that which was stolen. Artur Vanetsyan knew this and consciously assumed the office of head of the National Security Service and was pleased to form a part of the cabinet. The opposite would be simply ridiculous, and I don’t understand what Vanetsyan is surprised at and who he is complaining about.
Those who are part of the cabinet either have to work with honor, professionally and by investing their knowledge or resign from office, and it would be nice, if they do it without pathos.”
