Police have released the two people who were arrested at the seat of the Yerevan court of general jurisdiction in Shengavit district, as reported the Police of Armenia. A record was prepared under Article 180.1 of the Administrative Offences Code and the civilians were released.
Protests were held near the seat of the Yerevan court of general jurisdiction in Shengavit district starting this morning. The supporters of second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan were demanding execution of the decision of the Constitutional Court, while the government’s supporters were demanding that the second President remain under custody. The Yerevan court of general jurisdiction rejected the motion to immediately abolish the preventive measure for Robert Kocharyan, and the decision was promulgated by Judge Anna Danibekyan today.
