Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of Armenia Suren Papikyan today met with Deputy Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Dazhu Yang, as reported the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the course of implementation of the Agency’s technical assistance programs for Armenia and attached importance to the need for ensuring continuity of those programs.

Minister Suren Papikyan presented to his colleague the plan for extension of the term of planned exploitation of the energy block of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant, underscoring the active involvement of Armenian specialists in the various events and training courses of the Agency for professional capacity-building of the sector-specific specialists.

In his turn, Dazhu Yang highly appreciated Armenia’s major contribution to the ensuring of technical cooperation, recalling the conclusion of the 2018-23 Agreement on Technical Cooperation between Armenia and the International Atomic Energy Agency as an achievement.
