President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian today hosted the delegation led by Minister of National Defense of Lebanon Elias Bou Saab, as reported the Staff of the President of Armenia.

Armenia’s Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan also attended the meeting.

President Sarkissian welcomed the delegation’s visit to Armenia and the efforts aimed at expanding and enhancing the relations between the two friendly countries.

Minister Elias Bou Saab shared the view that the two countries have great potential to deepen the mutually beneficial cooperation in different sectors and a linking bridge such as the Armenian community of Lebanon. The minister stated that he has many Lebanese-Armenian friends, and Armenia and Armenian culture are close to his heart.

The interlocutors underscored the special role of the Armenian community of Lebanon and shared the view that the community’s presence lays a strong foundation for development of bilateral ties in all directions.
