There will be no return to the old, apathy is over. Ruben Rubinyan, a member of the majority My Step faction at the National Assembly, on Sunday wrote this on his Facebook page, and referring to the messages by the second and third presidents—Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan, respectively—on Independence Day anniversary of Armenia.

“After the velvet revolution [last year], we are constantly witnessing how the representatives of the ousted corrupt regime and the persons affiliated with them speak about traditional, national values, alert about the perils threatening them,” Rubinyan wrote, in particular. “Rejected S. Sargsyan and defendant R. Kocharyan’s ‘messages’ yesterday devoted to Independence Day were a vivid example of this tactic.

“Why are they speaking? Because they have nothing else to say.

“This is the pinnacle of hypocrisy, friends.

“There will be no return to the old, apathy is over, free and democratic Armenia will move forward.”
