An earthquake with a 5.8 magnitude hit Istanbul today at 1:59 p.m. (2:59 p.m. Yerevan time).

According to the Turkish Milliyet, the epicenter of the earthquake was at Marmara Sea, which is located at a distance of 67 km from Istanbul.

Residents of several areas came out to the streets in panic after the earthquake.

There is still no news about the damages.
