YEREVAN. – After the adoption of this bill, the salaries of the deputies will not increase. Varazdat Karapetyan, a member of the majority My Step faction at the National Assembly of Armenia, stated this during Wednesday’s parliamentary debates on the proposed law with respect to making amendments to the law on minimum wage in the country.

This bill envisages raising the minimum monthly salary from 55,000 (approx. $116) up to 68,000 (approx. $143) drams in Armenia.
