Former Secretary of the Security Council of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic) Vitaly Balasanyan and the office of the “For Artsakh” pan-national movement today issued a statement calling on young Armenians to unite around the real national agendas and confront any anti-Armenian process.

“This is not the first time we are sounding the alarm about the consequences of the incomplete policy that the authorities of Armenia have been leading since 2018. The anti-national processes unfolding in Armenia are undermining the vision to build a society hinged on national values, and brilliant evidence of this is the anti-Armenian position of the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Armenia, who wants to remove Armenian Church History from the school curriculum, the subjects Armenian Language, Armenian Literature and Armenian History from the curricula of universities, etc.

The continuity of this working style presents a danger to the Armenian educational system and national culture and the future of Armenians in general. It is clear that the Armenian nation had to rebel against this anti-national policy, particularly young Armenians, and evidence of this are the students who are protesting against Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Armenia Arayik Harutyunyan near the government building, marched to the Ministry and have declared a termless sit-in with the demand for Arayik Harutyunyan’s resignation.

The “For Artsakh” pan-national movement and I personally welcome this national youth movement and call on young Armenians to unite around real national agendas and confront any anti-Armenian process,” the statement reads.
