The restrictions of the visits of second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan are not substantiated. This is what lawyer Aram Orbelyan told journalists today.

According to him, when Judge Davit Grigoryan rendered a decision to lift custody, he also annulled the decision on restriction of visits. Later, the court ruled to remand Kocharyan, but there was no decision on restricting visits. “In spite of this, technically, there is a decision on restriction of visits at the penitentiary institution. We have addressed the Ombudsman and the court with the request to affirm the absence of restrictions,” Orbelyan stated, emphasizing the unlawfulness of the restrictions.

Robert Kocharyan’s son, Sedrak Kocharyan is prohibited from seeing his father.
