Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Avinyan today received the delegation led by Secretary General of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Enzo Quattrociocche, reports the news service of the Government of Armenia.

The EBRD Secretary General stated that the main purpose of the delegation’s two-day visit is to assess the opportunities for Yerevan to host the EBRD Annual Meeting in 2021.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia had expressed the intention to have Armenia host the Annual Meeting during the conversation held with the EBRD President as part of his visit to Sarajevo in May of this year.

Tigran Avinyan also stated that the successful Francophonie Summit in 2018 and the 2019 World Congress on Information Technology clearly show that Armenia is ready and has all the necessary infrastructures to host the EBRD Annual Meeting at the highest level.
