Armenians did not leave, they fled Azerbaijan without clothes, unlike Azerbaijanis who were provided buses and were escorted by police, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during the Paris Peace Forum in response to a question from Azerbaijani man.

The man said he was Azerbaijani but was born in Vardenis and his family had to leave Armenia during the conflict.

“The Armenians were killed during the Sumgait massacres in Azerbaijan, later the killings continued in Baku and spread to Karabakh. They fled Azerbaijan without clothes. As to what happened in Armenia, according to the decision of the government, Azerbaijani people were provided with buses and were escorted by police. Not a single Azerbaijani was hurt,” he said, adding this shows the essence of this conflict.
