Minister of Justice of Armenia Rustam Badasyan today received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Lithuania to Armenia Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė.

As reported the Ministry of Justice of Armenia, the minister greeted the Ambassador and expressed gratitude for ratification of the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement by the Parliament of Lithuania. In the context of development of partnership, Rustam Badasyan also attached importance to the upcoming visit of Lithuania’s justice minister to Armenia and emphasized that he will be having a promising discussion on the wide reforms agenda with his Lithuanian counterpart.

The Ambassador expressed gratitude for the reception and discussed with the minister the processes of materializing the values of the velvet, non-violent revolution that took place in Armenia in 2018, particularly the process of judicial and legal reforms and reforms in the anti-corruption field.

The parties also touched upon the need for introduction of electronic justice enshrined by the Strategy on Judicial and Legal Reforms and emphasized that this will help increase confidence in the judiciary, reduce material resources and increase transparency.
