Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the headquarters of the International Organization of La Francophonie in Paris where he had a meeting with Secretary-General of the Organization Louise Mushikiwabo, as reported the news department of the Prime Minister of Armenia.

Mrs. Mushikiwabo welcomed the Prime Minister of Armenia to the Organization’s headquarters and highly appreciated Armenia’s effective chairmanship in the Organization. The Secretary-General stated that Armenia is considered one of the key members of the Organization and makes great contributions to the growth of the latter and the development of cooperation in the territory of the Francophonie.

The Prime Minister attached importance to the development of cooperation in different directions in the territory of La Francophonie and stated that Armenia would support all the initiatives aimed at increasing the effectiveness of the Organization’s activities.

During the meeting, Louise Mushikiwabo presented the course of preparations for organizing the Summit of the International Organization of La Francophonie in Tunisia in 2020.

At the end, the Prime Minister also left a note in the Golden Book of the International Organization of La Francophonie and stated the following: “On the occasion of my visit to the central headquarters of La Francophonie, as chair in the International Organization of La Francophonie, I reaffirm the commitment of Armenia to act for the dissemination of Francophonie and its values.”
