The Polish government has resigned following the October 13 parliamentary elections.

Citizens of Poland elected 460 deputies of the Seym (Lower Chamber of Parliament) and 100 members of the Senate. The ruling Law and Justice Party won in the elections after garnering 43.59% of the votes and 235 out of the 460 mandates in the Seym.

There are also opposition forces in parliament, including Civil Coalition Party (134 seats), Union of Democratic Lefts Party (39 mandates), the Polish Rural Party (30 mandates) and Confederation Union of Nationalists and Euro Pessimists (11 mandates).
