Members of the youth union of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun political party, who are holding a sit-in in front of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Armenia, don’t want to negotiate with Minister Arayik Harutyunyan.

“This is a universal issue, not an issue of a particular political party. The common agenda is Arayik Harutyunyan’s resignation since he is destroying Armenia’s educational system, culture and sport. It would be nice to see more people join us. There is nothing to negotiate besides his resignation,” member of the youth union Arsen Martoyan said.

 Yesterday Minister Arayik Harutyunyan told journalists that he was ready to talk to the young people about the issues for days and months.

The young members of the political party have been holding a sit-in near the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport for five days with the demand for Arayik Harutyunyan’s resignation. For the past two days, they and the students having declared a student strike have been holding awareness marches in the city, calling on university students to join them.
