YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd newspaper of Armenia writes: On October 16, Zhoghovurd daily wrote that the witness who was in the same house in Bjni on the day when ex-police chief Hayk Harutyunyan committed suicide left the Republic of Armenia. Yesterday, Zhoghovurd daily received information that the key witness in the case of the suicide of the former Chief of Police of Armenia has returned to Armenia.

According to our information, N. H., the witness who was in H. Harutyunyan’s house with him, was a longtime employee of the police system.

When he was the head of a department, law enforcement officials filed a criminal case for abuse of office. The charge, however, was not proven, and the case had no judicial outcome.

Shortly after the incident, the witness left Armenia. The Investigative Committee had informed that the witness told the preliminary investigation body that he would return to Armenia in a few days. And he has returned.
