If there are people, including politicians and parliamentarians who think there are going to be compromises in this regard and think they can threaten deputies through mediation with respect to this law, I tell them that we will lay them on the asphalt. This is what Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said as he responded to deputies’ questions at the National Assembly today.

According to the Prime Minister, corruption and the criminal subculture must be eliminated in Armenia.

“My political team has set the political objective to extirpate advocacy and heroification of the criminal subculture because this contributes to corruption the most. Corruption and the criminal subculture must be extirpated. If there are people, including politicians and parliamentarians who think there are going to be compromises in this regard and think they can threaten deputies through mediation with respect to this law, I tell them that we will lay them on the asphalt. They should mark my words, and if they don’t, you will see what will happen.”

According to Pashinyan, he can’t guarantee that the adoption of this law will help properly fight against criminal authorities, but emphasized that if the law is not satisfactory, other measures will be taken.
