The Union of Banks of Armenia monitors the inclusion of the country’s commercial banks in the list of the 1,000 largest taxpayers and follows the tax payments made by the banking system.

According to the latest respective published information, total taxes paid by all these 1,000 companies in the first nine months of 2019 have totaled 764.6 billion drams, up by 90.8 billion drams or 13.5%, from the same period in 2018.

Armenia's 17 commercial banks, making up only 1.7% of the list of the 1,000 largest taxpayers, have paid taxes of 42.3 billion drams or 5.5% of the total, which increased by 3.6 billion drams or 9.4%, compared to the same period last year.
