The Eurasian Economic Union is turning into the main tool for protecting the economic interests of member states, and the weight of the Union in the world is growing. This is what Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Alexander Pankin declared at the “Eurasian Economic Union: Experience, Problems and Development and Security Priorities” forum today, reports TASS.

“The reputation and attractiveness of the Eurasian Economic Union is growing,” he said.

Pankin also informed that the creation of common energy and financial markets is part of the Union’s future plans.
