The availability of retrained specialists is very important for Armenia. The presence in the real sector of the economy of modern technologies requires appropriate specialists who could master new trends, said Minister of Economy Tigran Khachatryan at the Armenian parliament meeting during the discussion of the draft state budget for 2020 on Thursday.

According to the minister, there are two ways to achieve this goal. 

One way is to train local specialists, and the second is to attract foreign specialists from abroad, which “will open up greater opportunities for Armenia.”

“We believe that this issue should also be in the focus of attention of the government. There will be proposals that our compatriots living abroad - in the developed West,” he said adding that these people are informed about the technologies that work in countries with developed economies, and are interested in working in their historical homeland. 

“And the Armenian government should facilitate the involvement of such specialists,” he said.
