Employees of the non-profit organization Pet Partners brought specially trained dog therapists to Capitol Hill to help lawmakers and their staff get rid of stress on the day the first open hearing of impeachment of US President Donald Trump begins, WP reported.

The dogs, according to the organizers, came in order to give Congress employees who had an extremely difficult year an opportunity to escape from hard work.

“Who better to bring comfort and relief to the hard-working folks on Capitol Hill than a furry group of loving, intuitive, and bipartisan Pet Partners therapy animals?”

Pet Partners intends to draw attention to the growing popularity in the US of zoo therapy with their action. However, the scientific community cannot yet say for sure how effective it is.
