The delegation led by the chair of the Kazakh Senate Dariga Nazarbayeva paid an official visit to the republic’s parliament on Thursday at the invitation of the Armenian parliament’s speaker Ararat Mirzoyan.

The parties held a discussion around bilateral cooperation regarding cooperation within the CSTO, as well as in the space of the Eurasian Economic Union, including prospects for the development of inter-parliamentary relations.

Mirzoyan expressed confidence that the visit of the Kazakh delegation will give a new impetus to bilateral relations between the two countries and peoples.

Nazarbayeva, in our turn, thanked the Armenian side for allowing Kazakh scholars access to the Matenadaran Institute of Ancient Manuscripts where they can use a rich base in the form of medieval sources to study the history of the Eurasian region.
