The Inter-Agency Commission on Electronic Justice today held its first session chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Avinyan, reports the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.

Tigran Avinyan stated that one of the government’s key objectives is to increase effectiveness of public administration and that electronic tools play a huge role in these processes. He emphasized that, in this context, the government has set the objective to ensure effectiveness of the justice system, and within the scope of the comprehensive plan for judicial and legal reforms, it has undertaken a pretentious program to introduce a unified system of electronic justice.

The Deputy Prime Minister added that the creation of an inter-agency cooperative platform and mechanisms are of pivotal significance for the establishment of a unified system of electronic justice, taking into consideration the fact that there are several bodies operating in the justice sector.
