YEREVAN. – Attorney Aram Vardevanyan, a representative of the second president of the Republic of Armenia Robert Kocharyan in the Constitutional Court, submitted a report to Justice Minister Rustam Badasyan on a disciplinary violation by Judge Armen Danielyan of the Criminal Court of Appeal, requesting to take measures to subject him to disciplinary proceedings. This was reported by Pastinfo.am.

Judge Anna Danibekyan, presiding over the court session, had twice rejected Kocharyan's defense’s motions for his release.

According to legal defender Vardevanyan, Judge Danielyan made these decisions with gross misconduct and procedural violations, in particular the right to a fair trial under the ECHR Convention.

Kocharyan's lawyer also drew the Justice Minister's attention to Judge Danielyan's biased attitude.

Earlier, Robert Kocharyan stated that he was most interested in a fair trial, and noted the absence of a potential impactor.
