YEREVAN. – Zhamanak newspaper of Armenia writes: The Turkish Foreign Ministry has issued a statement on the killing of Armenian Catholic clergy of Qamishli town in northern Syria. Expressing condolences to the Syrian people, the Turkish Foreign Ministry says at the same time that the killing took place in a zone controlled by Kurdish forces.

Yerevan made a condemning statement in this regard, considering what happened a result of the Turkish military invasion of northern Syria.

The statement of the Turkish Foreign Ministry can be viewed as an indirect response to the indirect accusation by the Armenian side. The Turks actually say that the killing is not their doing, but of the Kurds. At any rate, they address the issue to the Kurds, noting that the murder took place in their area of control.

In fact, it turned out by the killing of the clergy that there are issues in terms of security.
