YEREVAN. – The National Assembly of Armenia today continues discussions of the draft state budget for 2020.

There are 36 issues on this four-day agenda. The issue of electing members of the Committee for Prevention of Corruption is also on the agenda.

Yesterday, Minister of Economy Tigran Khachatryan and Central Ban (CB) Governor Arthur Javadyan delivered remarks. The latter noted that the government's macroeconomic forecasts for 2020 are quite close to those of the CB, and which suggest that structural reforms of the economy will continue toward more productive sectors such as services and industry.

With regard to the state budget revenues of 2020, the high rates of tax collection will continue through the reduction of shadow economy and improved tax administration.

And the draft law on amending the Law on the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly was not adopted two days ago by the National Assembly, and which would have enable the NA Speaker to participate in the sessions of the Security Council.
