Despite the “veto” that was used, the Armenian Genocide resolution still stands a chance in the US Senate. Suren Sargsyan, an International Studies expert, wrote about this on his Facebook page.

In particular, he noted as follows:

Chance 1: [Republican Party Senator Lindsey] Graham [who blocked the resolution] removes his veto (hold). Such an action may be caused by serious public pressure on him.

Chance 2: Graham can remain alone in the entire Senate if the overwhelming majority of Senators support the resolution. In this case, there will be actual pressure on him from his colleagues.

Chance 3: Senate Republican Majority Leader [Mitch] McConnell overrides the veto and brings the resolution for a vote. In this case, the senator who vetoed may exercise his filibuster right; that is, delay voting, organize discussions and hearings, and so on.

P.S. At this time, our specialists at the Armenian Center for American Studies are looking into Graham's links with Turkish lobbyists, and we will soon release the information we have on hand.
