The incumbent government is not less corrupt than the former one. This is what member of the Bureau of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun political party Armen Rustamyan told journalists at the conference organized by the “Vernatun” public-political club established by Vazgen Manukyan.

“Yes, the former regime has been destroyed, but the current regime hasn’t started a new round of the fight against corruption, and 99% of the fight against corruption is targeted against the former authorities. Isn’t there plunder now?” he said, adding that this fight against corruption can’t be led by the Prime Minister.

“Instituting criminal cases has become tool for the authorities to fight against their opponents. This is why they have instituted cases against everyone. If courts punish at least one innocent person, then there is no legal system,” Rustamyan said.
