The head of the delegation of the Armenian parliament in the US, Lilit Makunts, stated that the Armenia-US friendship group is initiating the process of adoption of the US assistance act for Armenia, Voice of America reported.
Speaking at an expert forum in Washington, Lilit Makunts noted that the adoption of the act would raise bilateral relations to a new level.
The act involves obligations on both sides, she noted adding that the act is a logical continuation of strategic relations.
According to her, the initiative received support from partners in Congress.
