Former commander of the Karabakh Army, Colonel Grigori Sahakyan, founded the Vstahutyun (Trust) party in Artsakh. The founding congress of the party took place today.

"We have made a decision to form a new party called ‘Vstahutyun,’ adhering to national conservative ideas," he said at the founding congress. "This is the core of our ideology."

According to him, they consider a priority the practical steps aimed to ensure security, equality of all before the law, and the rule of law and right.

"The Vstahutyun party acts from the positions of a constructive opposition, and is ready to cooperate with all political forces that wish to adopt a new working style, uniting for the sake of goals," he said.

He added that Artsakh needs substantive changes.

Grigori Sahakyan had run for the mayor of capital city Stepanakert, but had lost in the respective election.
