The Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs has addressed the demonstrators gathered at Rustaveli Avenue (leaders of political parties and the organizers of the demonstration) to put an end to the blockage of entrances to the parliament building, reports First Georgian Channel.

“Police ensured conditions required for gathering and holding a demonstration throughout the November 17 demonstration and all night long.

However, later, during the peaceful demonstration that began in front of the parliament building on Rustaveli Avenue, some demonstrators blocked entrances to the legislature, and political leaders overtly called on supporters to disrupt the activities of the parliament.

Once again, we address the organizers of the demonstration and the participants to obey the lawful commands of the police officers.

If the attack on or blockage of the administrative body continues, the police will take appropriate measures within the scope of the mandate given by law,” the statement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reads.
