YEREVAN. – I noticed today that [former Prosecutor General] Gevorg Kostanyan seems to have no intention of returning to Armenia; do everything that he come and give information to the investigative body. Speaking to reporters in the National Assembly (NA) today, Andranik Kocharyan, a member of the NA majority My Step faction and Chairs of the NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security and of the NA Inquiry Committee for Examining the Circumstances of the Military Activities of April 2016, stated this.

"If there are questions about him, he has to come," Kocharyan said. “Gevorg Kostanyan is not the Prosecutor General [anymore] to decide whom to call, whom not to call. (...). Will every person be held accountable for his actions? Now the time has come to answer; let him come and answer the questions of the body of inquiry.”

The MP added: "The investigative body has obtained evidence, whose answers its must find also in Gevorg Kostanyan. (…) He should come and answer the questions of the body of inquiry.”
