Minister of Justice of Armenia Rustam Badasyan today introduced newly appointed head of the Probation Service Gevorg Simonyan to the staff.

Minister Badasyan congratulated Gevorg Simonyan and newly appointed deputy head of the Service Karen Hakobyan on their appointments, emphasized that he is aware of the problems of the Service and, in this context, attached importance to the areas for development earmarked in the draft Strategy on the Penitentiary and Probation Sectors, as well as the draft of the new Criminal Procedure Code to be submitted to the government soon.

The head of the Service expressed gratitude for the trust and stated that there was a lot of work to do for institutional development and capacity-building.
