Many employers in Armenia, taking advantage of gaps in the Labor Code, do not require written explanations from their employees and dismiss them, Prosperous Armenia party MP Gevork Petrosyan said Tuesday at the Armenian parliament’s meeting.

According to MP, this initiative proposes to oblige all employers to require their employees to provide them with a written explanation for the work performed, to name the reasons, and only then make a decision on dismissal. According to the MPs, this bill is based on the interests of both the employers and employees, because if you consider the issue of dismissal in the course of the trial, one and the other side will have at hand the relevant evidence base that will help the court figure out the real reasons for the dismissal.
