Armenia will completely switch to the electronic electricity trade system, USAID Armenia Program Director Deborah Grizer told reporters on Tuesday.

According to her, the Agency is promoting the development of a program that will provide electricity trade in electronic form.

She added that this technology could extend to the level of cross-border trade.

The representative of the USAID «Power the Future» Regional Program, Abgar Budaghyan, in turn, explained that a software market management system is being developed that will be equipped with modern solutions.

“The development is planned to be completed by February 2021. It will be provided free of charge to the market operator,” he said.
