During its official visit to Italy, the delegation led by Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the mother monastery of the Mekhitarist congregation in the San Lazzaro degli Armeni island of Venice.

As reported by the Armenpress correspondent from Italy, first a narrow-format meeting was held with the delegates of the congregation. Pashinyan then toured the monastery, after which he made a note in the congregation's Golden Book.

“We have come to express our support to the Mekhitarist congregation affected by the flood; I am glad that no irreversible damage was done,” Nikol Pashinyan wrote, in particular. "I also want to express the appreciation of the Armenian people to the Mekhitarist congregation, which is one of the sources of our modern education, science, art."
