Member of the central board of Free Homeland Party of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic), deputy of the Homeland parliamentary faction Rudik Hyusnunts today met with member of the Alternative for Germany Party, Member of the European Parliament Lars Patrick Berg in Yerevan. Berg is in Armenia on a working visit. Hyusnunts attached importance to the level of current contacts between the two political parties and emphasized that every year, new quality is conveyed to the cooperation established in 2015. “We always closely follow your successes in the political field and are glad that, in spite of objective issues, you open a major window towards Europe for Artsakh,” Hyusnunts stated.

The Member of the European Parliament expressed gratitude for the meeting and emphasized that he agrees with the idea that the political status of Artsakh must not be a hindrance to its relations with the outside world.

“Europe must not share the undemocratic approaches of Azerbaijan, and we are ready to make efforts to eliminate the existing discrimination against Artsakh. My partisans and I highly appreciated the fair demands of the people of Artsakh, and your political party plays a major role in this regard. We are sincerely interested in the deepening of the cooperation,” Berg stated and apologized for not visiting Artsakh this time.
