Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan, who is in Moscow to attend the 7th meeting of Secretaries of the Security Councils of CIS countries, had a meeting with Secretary of the Security Council of Uzbekistan Viktor Mahmudov.

This was the first meeting of the Secretaries of Security Councils of Armenia and Uzbekistan ever, and this was also recorded by Secretary Grigoryan, who stated the positive dynamics of the relations between Armenia and Uzbekistan and attached special importance to the appointment of the first ambassador of Armenia to Uzbekistan and the meeting of the leaders of both countries.

Secretary Mahmudov highlighted the need to enhance the legal base and economic component in the bilateral ties and informed that Uzbekistan is interested in the development of cooperation in cyber security, military education and information technologies.

The parties discussed the new opportunities for institutionalization of the cooperation between the Offices of the Security Councils of both countries and for cooperation in military industry and invited each other to pay official visits to their respective countries.
