YEREVAN. – At its today's sitting, the Armenian government approved the proposal to sign the agreement on the procedure of visits and stay of citizens of Armenia and Kazakhstan.

The reasoning of the decision states that the issue of entry, exit and stay between Armenia and Kazakhstan with ID cards, or identity certificates, was discussed on September 20, 2018, and it was proposed to provide appropriate procedures for its entry into force.

According to Article 2 of the agreement, the citizens of Armenia and Kazakhstan temporarily staying in each other's countries shall be exempt from the obligation to register within 30 days at the competent authorities of the state of entry. They are also exempted from the obligation to submit a migration card.

If they stay more than 30 days in one another’s countries, they are obliged to register at the competent authorities.

It is also envisaged that the citizens of Armenia and Kazakhstan can move freely in each other’s countries for up to 90 days.
