YEREVAN. – The government of Armenia made a decision today to grant tax breaks to two companies.

In particular, the government exempted the Newplast company from customs duties for technological equipment, their parts, raw materials, and/or materials that are imported under the investment program.

Deputy Minister of Economy Avag Avanesyan noted that these products will be used for the production of drip irrigation systems.

With another decision, the government exempted the Trade Export company from customs duties for technological equipment, their parts, raw materials, and/or materials that are imported under the investment program.

"The company will manufacture electronic meters," Avanesyan said. "It is envisaged that the manufactured products will be fully exported to the EEU market."
