Armenia’s state budget shows that the government isn’t paying enough attention to the military component in the defense system. This is what founder of the first sabotage-intelligence squad in Armenia Vova Vardanov said during a press conference today.

He emphasized that the government attaches great importance to the social bloc, but has forgotten about the military bloc, and it needs to understand that this is inadmissible. The analyst added that the process of urbanization will lead to reduction of the population of the whole country, not just the capital city. “Due to the need to strengthen security, the government needs to do everything possible to make sure people don’t leave borderline villages,” Vardanov said.

He noted that the former authorities would say people can’t be given weapons because this can lead to the growth of crimes, and the incumbent authorities are saying the same thing. “There is a need to create self-defense structures in borderline villages, and women also need to be engaged in the system of military preparedness. Weapons have to be given in a coordinated manner, and this will make it easier to catch criminals,” Vova Vardanov concluded.
