Garegin Nzhdeh is not part of the agenda of Russian-Armenian relations. Azerbaijan is introducing Garegin Nzhdeh in the agenda. This is what Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan told journalists today.

“I ask you, as my compatriots, to stop asking such questions. I talked to my Russian counterparts, and there is no such issue on the agenda. What the Russian figure said about Garegin Nzhdeh was his personal opinion,” the deputy parliamentary speaker said.

Touching upon Nikol Pashinyan’s statement in Milan that Armenian presidents lacking the people’s trust have been an evil for Armenia since 1996 and when asked if he agrees with the evaluation of the election of President of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan, Alen Simonyan said the following: “I’m not saying any political figure has been an evil with respect to the elections. The elections of 1996 weren’t a reflection of the reality, and this was followed by Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s resignation, which was also caused by the elections of 1996.”
