Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev has referred to the visit of Vice-President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva to Russia as direct affirmation of the cooperation and friendship between the two countries and has focused on the full-scale program that also implies talks with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, reports RIA Novosti.

At the outset of the meeting with Aliyeva, the head of the Russian government greeted the guests and talked about the extended program of the delegation in Russia. “It is a full-scale program that includes talks with you, a meeting with the President of the Russian Federation tomorrow and an interregional conference. All this fully reflects the level of friendly and neighborly friendship and partnership between our countries,” Medvedev said.

Medvedev offered to discuss the pressing issues on cooperation in the economic sector and other sectors and recalled his visits to Azerbaijan. He also asked Aliyeva to transmit his greetings to President Ilham Aliyev.
